The Most Expensive Homes in Los Angeles

Real estate is often heralded as the ultimate investment. If there’s one thing you can trust, it’s that every billionaire has a ridiculous house. When such billionaires choose to reside in Los Angeles, they build mega-mansions that leave jaws dropped and eyes dazzled. Forrealtors who’ve just completed their time at a real estate school in Los Angeles and want to get their hands on one these mansions, be patient. These listings are exclusive to only a select few.

In the meantime, here are the three most expensive mansions in the Los Angeles market.

908 Bel-Air Road

If you want the biggest and the best, it starts here. Anything on Bel-Air road is going to be magnificent. This house dwarfs even its opulent neighbors. It offers more than 34,000 square feet of luxury housing space. Considering the price per square foot in this neighborhood, you know that the price tag is massive. There are 9 bedrooms, 23 bathrooms (a mix of full and half baths) and every luxury you can imagine. It has a showroom rather than a garage, a pool so big it could fit another house and entertaining room to spare. And, oh yeah, there are views. This is a view house to end all view houses. The visual alone must be worth at least $10 million.

This masterpiece of modern housing is currently listed at $180 million.

67 Beverly Park Court

You shouldn’t be surprised that the most expensive houses in L.A. are in Bel-Air and Beverly Hills. It’s only natural. This particular home is a throwback to classic luxury. It’s on a 5.43-acre lot that is packed with entertainment and excess. In addition to the massive pool, tennis courts and fun things you expect around a mansion like this, it has a miles-long hiking/walking/running trail. That’s how big the estate is.

The house is listed for $165 million (not exactly chump change), but for that price, you get over 20,000 square feet, 20 bedrooms (including the guest house) and 23 bathrooms. It also features a magnificent canyon view.

924 Bel-Air Road

Once listed for $150 million, the highest selling price on this list belongs to 924 Bel-Air Road. It was purchased in 2019 for $94 million. Even below asking price, that’s a hefty tag. This monster mansion is over 38,000 square feet on a 1.08-acre lot. How did they do that? There are more than four stories of expansive mansion, and every level enjoys the most expensive view in the world. You can clearly see from downtown to the ocean, entirely uninterrupted.

Across those many levels of luxury, you’ll find 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, a bowling alley, a monstrous wine cellar and an amazing pool. As the listing once described it, this house is “indoor/outdoor nirvana.”

Even though the “cheapest” house on the list sold well under the initial asking price, the 5-percent realtor’s cut was worth almost $5 million. That’s how much was made from selling just one house!
