What is caffox?

Caffox is a drug combination of Caffeine and Ergotamine. Both of these are active ingredients and work by narrowing the blood vessels around the brain. Besides that, Caffeine can also help to stimulate the absorption of Ergotamine. Caffox is usually used to treat migraine and other types of headache. These include:

  • Fatigue
  • Vascular headache
  • Cluster headache
  • Migraine attack
  • Orthostatic hypertension
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Bronchopulmanory dysplasia in premature children

This drug is available in tablet form to be taken orally or per rectum. It is not available over-the-counter and must be prescribed by a doctor. As mentioned above, this drug helps to reduce migraine by narrowing the blood vessels. As migraine happens due to a temporary change in blood vessel size, this action of shrinking the blood vessels back to its normal size will greatly help this condition. Bear in mind that Caffox can only be used to treat migraine attacks, it cannot be used to prevent migraine from happening.

Before taking Caffox, you need to be aware of some conditions that prevent you from taking this medication. Your doctor will go through these lists first before making any decision on whether Caffox is suitable for you or not. Doctors will need to be aware of any allergies, pre-existing disease and also your current health condition. Besides, some medications or supplements can interfere with Caffox and leads to excessive narrowing of blood vessels. This condition is very dangerous and can be fatal as your brain will not receive an adequate blood supply. Hence, it is very important for doctors to go through all of these before deciding on your next treatment. Do not take Caffox if you have any of the following:
