La Concha Beach
Named as the jewel of San Sebastian, La Concha comes in the first place of Europe’s most beautiful urban beaches. It imitates the shape of the seashell and stretches 1300 metres long, with Mount Igueldo and Mount Urgull surrounding it.
It has golden sands with deep blue water, making it a calm beach destination to unwind. Not just the tourists, but even locals love this beach because of the water activities it offers, like swimming, paddling, and diving.
Ondarreta Beach
Perhaps the least known and least frequented beach in San Sebastian, Ondarreta Beach is perfect for families and people who just want to enjoy nature’s beauty and the calming sound of the ocean’s waves crashing. It is easily accessible and can be walked from La Concha Beach.
When you enter the beach, you will see people making sand castles, playing volleyball, paddling, and some just soaking in the sun. It is not for those who are looking to get into water activities like other beaches, but rather to spend a peaceful time.
La Zurriloa Beach
A surfer’s paradise, La Zurriloa Beach was earlier known as Gros Beach and a famous hotspot amongst the young people looking to enjoy and interact with others. As surfing is the main activity here, you can also rent a board from the numerous surf shops located on the beach itself.
If you are there for fun, you can join the group of people playing volleyball, tennis, and other games.
